Furthermore, while in weight training, you isolate a specific muscle as you perform an exercise and this leads to a short, tightened muscles, the muscles you develop during exercising yoga are more likely to be elongated, because as you are strengthening them, you are simultaneously lengthening them. Breathing deeply as practiced in yoga, helps relax your muscles and also brings much needed oxygen to your cells.
